Bugün 'Müzikli Çarşambalar'da bu sıralar en sevdiğim şarkı var. Melihat Gürses zaten bu dönemin Türk Sanat Müziği'nde en iyi sesi, İncesaz ise hem çok yenilikçi, hem nostaljik, kendilerine bayılıyorum. Bir de şarkı Üsküp'den olunca (belki bilmezsiniz, bizim aile Manastır göçmeni, Manastır da o zamanlar Üsküp'ün ilçesi) beni herhalde kan çekiyor. Ne zaman bu şarkıyı dinlesem, rahatlıyorumi hayallere dalıyorum.... Tam bu yağmurlu günlük, siz de dinleyin, mutlu olun.
This week's 'Musical Wednesday's song is my favorite. The singer is the most important singer of Turkish Art Music nowadays and has an eerie voice, the band is both innovative in the Turkish Art Music area (which is the fundamental musical genre and school of the Ottoman music) and nostalgical. And the song is called "Skopje Love Song" and my father's family is from Bitola which is a town in Skopje (Skopje is in Macedonia now and my father's family came to Turkey in the 1950's, so it's almost my father's hometown), so the song is very special to me. Whenever I listen to it, I relax and day-dream a little bit and it makes me happy no matter what.... So, listen and be happy!
