This week's I♥it/15-21 November 2010

Bu hafta sevdiğim şeyler şöyle şekerler:

1.  I ♥ Letters

Sonunda uzun süre uzak kaldığım mektup arkadaşlarıma geri döndüm. Bu hafta aldığım iki mektup sevdiğim şeylerin birinci sırasındalar. Şaşırtıcı evet, e-maillerin, skype'ilerin çağında hala elle mektup yazıp üstüne pul yapıştırıp postaya vermek... Diyorum ya içinde 60 yaşında bir yaşlı teyze var diye...

Finally, I get back to my penpals after sometime. With the two letters I got todays, letters became the first thing I ♥ this week. Yes, it's surprising to still write letters by hand, put a stamp on it and send via mail in the age of e-mails and skypes.... But remember I keep telling you that there is a 60 year old lady living inside me....

 

2. I ♥ Lace

Dantel elbise, dantel çorap, dantel perde, dantel dantel danteeeel....

Lace dress, lace stockings, lace curtains, lace lace lace laaaace.....

3. I ♥ Macedonia

Dün babamı Pendik'te bir Boşnak restoranına götürdüm, Balkan yemekleri, Balkan müziği, tabii toprak çekti yine. (Bilmeyenler için baba tarafım Makedonya Manastır'dan, anne tarafı da Bulgaristan'dan gelme). Yemekler yendi, Makedonya'ya gitme hayalleri kuruldu... Kısmet yaza, önce Yunanistan (malum yeşil pasaporta vize de kalktı) sonra Üsküp ve Manastır (son fotoğraf)...

Yesterday I took my dad to a Bosnian restaurant. My father's side came to Turkey in the 50's from Macedonia (former Yugoslavia) and Bosnia's culture is very close, so of course with Balkan meals and Balkan music, we started to dream about going to Macedonia. First we'll go to Greece, then to Skopje and finally Bitola (the last photo); our hometown. I hope we'll be able to do it this summer....

 

4. I ♥ Cat Toys

Bir kediye bir top filan verip saatlerce oynamasını izlemek dünyanın en güzel şeyi...

Giving a cat something like a ball and watch him play with it for hours is the best thing in the world...

5. I ♥ Eiffel Tower 

Nasıl geçen hafta her yerde karşıma kitaplıklar çıktıysa, bu hafta da Eyfel Kulesi çıktı durdu, önce Sex and the City'de Carrie'nin Paris'e gittiği bölüm vardı, sonra internette bir sürü başka şey, Makedonya maddesini de düşünürsek, sanırsam benim gezme vaktim geldi...

Last week it was libraries which kept showing up, this week it was the Eiffel Tower. First Sex and the City's episode in which Carrie goes to Paris was on t.v., then a lot of other things popped out on the net, with the Macedonia thread, I think my time to travel has come...
