Fotoğraflı Cumalar- Photography Friday-Bruce Weber

'Fotoğraflı Cumalar' için ne yapsam diye bakarken gözüm gitgide moda ve reklam kampanyalarına takılır oldu. Yurtdışında öyle bir yapılıyor ki bu işler, sanattan tek farkları karşılığında bir şey satmaları oluyor, sanat da her zaman satılık değil mi zaten? Arada bir İtalyan Vogue'un dosyalarına denk geliyorum, değme fotoğraf sanatçılarına taş çıkarıyorlar atmosfer yaratmakta.

Whenever I look for something to put on "Photography Friday", I keep coming up more and more with fashion photographers or ad campaigns. Some do it so well, that it doesn't have any difference from 'art photography' at all, except maybe that it tries to sell something. But isn't art always for sale in some point? When I look at Italian Vogue's features, I found the fashion photographers even more successful than art photographers when it comes to create an atmosphere.

Bugün ki konuğumuz ise, moda dosyası bile değil bir reklam kampanyası, ama ne kampanya. Bruce Weber'in Alman bahçe mobilyası firması Dedon için yaptığı 'Coming Home' (Eve Dönüş) projesi. Bir doğal parkta devasa bir ağaca kurulan bu 'hayali' ağaç (fotoğraflardan görüyoruz zaten, ağaca hiç dokunulmamış neredeyse), 3 nesilde bütün aileyi bir araya topluyor. Bruce Weber'e göre, ağaç evler herkesi çocukluğuna götürüyor ve "ev" hissini yaratıyor, biz de bir karşılığı yok tabii, ama fotoğraflar yine de çok güzel!

Today's guest is not even a fashion feature, but an ad campaign. Bruce Weber's 'Coming Home' project for German outdoor furniture brand Dedon. This 'imaginary' tree in found in a national park (as you can see, there is no construction on the tree itself) gathers 3 generations of a family together. According to Bruce Weber, tree houses bring everyone to their childhood and creates the feeling of home. And the result is awesome!

Sonundaki önermeyi de çok sevdim: "Çocukken tırmanılacak güzel bir ağaç bulursunuz, büyümüş olarak geri döndüğünüzdeyse onu kesmek istersiniz. Ama kesmeyin! Bunun yerine onu eviniz haline getirin"

I also liked a lot the suggestion at the end :"As a child you find a beautiful tree to climb, and when you return to it as a grown-up you want to cut it down. But don't! Instead make it "home sweet home". 

Keşke Türkiye'de de daha fazla böyle reklam kampanyası yapılsa, bıkmadınız mı artık aynı şeylerden?
